Risk and protection

The discipline of understanding risk.

At D.A. Remington Contracting Incorporated, responsible leadership extends beyond construction. It requires an understanding of the risks that can affect people, property, businesses, assets, and the continuity of what has been built.

Safety, preparation, and understanding are part of that responsibility, because the most consequential risks are not always the ones we can see.

Knowledge is a form of protection.

A structure can be engineered for strength while the people and interests around it remain exposed to circumstances beyond the building itself. Life, health, income, ownership, liability, and continuity can affect individuals, families, businesses, and the assets they have worked to build.

For Dylan A. Remington, Founder and President, professional education is part of keeping a broader view of risk and responsibility.

New York Life and Health

Dylan A. Remington completed the New York Life and Health course through ExamFX, earning 42 credits between February 24 and March 12, 2025.

The certificate records coursework approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services as preparation for the applicable insurance licensing examinations.

The value of that education is the understanding it builds: how risk is evaluated, how protection can be structured, and why preparation should come before adversity rather than after it.

The Remington standard

  • Knowledge before assumption.
  • Preparation before exposure.
  • Understanding before decision.

Responsible construction is only part of responsible leadership. What you build deserves more than a strong foundation. It deserves thoughtful protection.

“Preparation is one of the highest forms of responsibility. You cannot eliminate every risk—but you can develop the knowledge to recognize it, understand it, and make better decisions before it becomes a consequence.”
